ABOUT

Dr. Samim values her patients’ peace of mind. She takes time to make them understand the source of their pain. Her experience also allows her to assist the team with complex cases.

Dr. Firoozeh Samim is a Canadian and American board-certified specialist in oral medicine and oral and maxillofacial pathology. She’s also a professor at the McGill University, Faculty of Dentistry. After earning her DMD in Iran, she relocated to Canada, where she completed her four-year residency that focused on oral medicine and oral pathology. Dr. Samim finds offering thorough and specialized explanations to patients for the source of their concerns, lesions, and pain extremely rewarding. Specializing in pathology gives her the ability to answer the previously unanswerable, which gives her patients peace of mind.

She visits Atlantic Oral Surgery on a rotating basis and assists the team by providing specialized diagnoses and studying the causes and effects of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial region of patients. She admires the team-oriented environment at this practice and appreciates the collaborative effort of the doctors to ensure that every patient is taken care of and receives the highest level of care. When Dr. Samim treats you, expect her to spend quality time explaining diagnoses and treatment options. She looks forward to providing relief and compassion to her patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Samim enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, and dancing. She is fluent in English and Farsi, and she’s currently learning French too.
